To ensure your event goes smoothly, we offer services from experienced caterers familiar with our facilities. Whether you need a basic tea/coffee setup for a lecture or a formal dinner for a wedding, our recommended caterers can meet your needs. Audiovisual / Lighting

Somerville House collaborates with top-tier audio-visual providers for your event requirements. While we facilitate these connections, it's ultimately the responsibility of the hirer to communicate directly with the chosen audio-visual contractor. This direct communication streamlines the process, allowing for personalised arrangements and precise execution tailored to your event's unique requirements. Rest assured, our team is here to support and guide you every step of the way to guarantee a successful event.

Security

Ensuring the safety and security of all individuals on our premises is paramount. With our round-the-clock on-site security, you can have peace of mind knowing that trained professionals are vigilantly monitoring the area. 

Should the need arise for additional security measures during your event, TAS Security Australia, our trusted security provider, can be enlisted. Their experienced team is well-equipped to handle various event scenarios effectively. While this service incurs a fee of $70 per hour per security officer, it's a small investment for the invaluable reassurance of a secure environment for all attendees.

Inventory

As part of your hire booking, we include basic linens, such as tablecloths, to ensure your event space is elegantly appointed. These linens are provided at no additional cost, offering a simple yet refined touch to enhance the ambiance of your gathering.

Additional inventory hire is available at the following charges:

Tea and coffee station (chinaware): $1.30
Bar establishment (glassware): $1.50
Table setting (glassware, china and cutlery): $3.50
Grand Piano: $150.00 Daily
Music Stands: $15.00 Each


Venue Supervisor

Depending on the size and nature of your hire, the Venue Supervisor will be present to oversee and facilitate the seamless execution of your event. They will handle logistical details, address any concerns, and ensure everything runs according to plan. 

This service, essential for the success of your occasion, is provided at a rate of $60 per hour. Rest assured, our experienced supervisor will be there to assist you every step of the way, ensuring your event is a resounding success.


Cleaning

Your hire package encompasses standard cleaning services to maintain the venue's cleanliness and hygiene standards. However, in the event that your function results in an unusually high volume of rubbish, requiring additional cleaning beyond the standard scope, an extra charge will apply. This fee of $60 per hour ensures that our cleaning team efficiently restores the venue to its pristine condition, ready for the next event. Rest assured, we strive to provide a clean and welcoming environment for all our guests, and this additional service guarantees just that.
